For the past few months, the Barbados Rally Club has been hard
at work putting together the details of Sol Rally Barbados 2010
. . . and also looking at ways to celebrate what will be the 20th anniversary
of its first-ever All-Stage Rally.
Over the last 20 years, there has been a common thread in the event’s
success, the significant contribution of our overseas friends. They helped make
the event what it is today, by returning year after year to give our local
competitors some excellent competition and our local spectators some exciting
driving to watch.
Legends like Martin ‘Mad-Dale’ Stockdale, Kevin ‘Bus Driver’
Procter, Kenny ‘Team Tartan Hall’ and many more have come to Barbados
to compete but have found more than just competition; they have earned the
admiration of spectators and enjoyed the camaraderie of local competitors. In
Barbados, if you have been given a nickname, you are definitely part of the
family!
