Indian Grand Prix Holidays
LOCATION: New Delhi, India
DATE: 26th - 28th October 2012
Located 50km from Delhi, The Buddh International Circuit will host the Indian Grand Prix from 26th-28th October 2012. The circuit is 5.14 kilometres (3.19 miles) and is designed by renowned F1 circuit designer Hermann Tilke. The initial seating capacity is speculated to be around 150,000. Two sizeable straights and an interesting mix of corners should guarantee a track full of challenges for drivers and engineers alike.
With the recent F1 successes in Korea and Singapore, India is the latest Asian powerhouse to welcome the paddock with open arms. Learning lessons from the 2010 Commonwealth Games hosted in New Delhi, India wows the international sporting stage once more in October.
