Hungaroring Race Circuit is only 20 kms from the stunning city of Budapest and is an excellent circuit for spectators because the vast visibility of the circuit from most areas.
Although Grand Prix Circuits like Silverstone, Monaco, Monza have lots of history and nostalgia attached to them, Hungaroring also has a interesting tale to tell as the circuit's history all started way back in 1936 when drivers from Italy, Germany and Britain gathered at Nepliget Park in Budapest to do battle in Masseratis, Alfa Romeos and Mercedes's on a five kilometre track.
Fifty laps later and Tazio Giorgio Nuvolari (aka 'The Flying Mantuan) claimed first place on the podium in his Alfa Romeo. From this point onwards, Hungary's love for Grand Prix racing was firmly established. |
